FDA allows 3-year shelf life for CSL Behring's Privigen

The FDA approved a one-year extension for the shelf life of CSL Behring's 10% liquid intravenous immunoglobulin injection, or Privigen. The change allows the product to be stored at room temperature for three years. The approval was based on a study showing that the immunoglobulin G fraction's purity remains high when the intravenous immunoglobulin product is stored in a controlled environment.
