Liquor sales growth slows at Coles supermarkets

Wesfarmers saw sales growth at its Coles supermarkets slow in the most recent quarter, largely on a dip in sales of liquor. "The supermarket business is less discretionary, and has been performing at the same rates as we had been seeing previously -- the biggest slowdown was in liquor," said Terry Bowen, finance director for the Australian company.
