Manhattan Scientifics develops breast cancer detection system

Nanotechnology firm Manhattan Scientifics said it is looking for a partner in the development and commercialization of a biomagnetic-based imaging system for the early detection of breast cancer. The system employs magnetic field sensors to measure magnetic fields generated by nanoparticles placed inside the body to accurately target cancer cells. The company said the system has the potential to pinpoint breast cancer three years earlier than mammograms.
