Operating profits are expected to rise for Komatsu

Komatsu, the second-largest international maker of earth-moving equipment behind Caterpillar, expects to have an operating profit of $343.8 million for the three months ended March 31, compared with a multimillion dollar loss a year earlier. The increase in profits is attributed to rising demand for equipment in Asia.
