Pennsylvania sets 25-year plan for rail infrastructure

Pennsylvania's Transportation Department is looking ahead -- to 2035, specifically. A new report, the Pennsylvania Intercity Passenger and Freight Rail Plan, details what the state's rail infrastructure may look like in 25 years and sets goals to reach. "We now have a complete inventory of our passenger and freight rail infrastructure and we know the needs that each mode will face in the future," said PennDOT Secretary Allen Biehler.
