EEOC sues company, alleging mistreatment of foreign guest workers

Workers recruited from India to help after Hurricane Katrina were discriminated against and forced to live in harsh conditions, according to a complaint by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission against Signal International, an oil-rig construction company. The company denied similar allegations made in a 2008 lawsuit, which is pending.
