General Mills teams up with Groupon

General Mills on Thursday tested the social-coupon waters with an offer in Minneapolis and San Francisco for a package of a dozen products, plus a $15 coupon book, valued at more than $40 for $20. The Minneapolis deal by the end of Thursday had sold its 4,500 offers. General Mills is believed to be the first CPG marketer to field a social-coupon promotion.
