CBOT corn, ethanol retreat; NYMEX oil advances

Corn for May delivery settled at $6.125 per bushel on Friday, down 8.5 cents, on the Chicago Board of Trade. The expiring light sweet crude for May delivery contract ended at $103.05 per barrel, up 78 cents, on the New York Mercantile Exchange. May denatured ethanol closed at $2.148 per gallon, down 1.8 cents, on the CBOT.
