Employee sues over penalty for not undergoing health screening

A former employee of Florida's Broward County has filed a federal lawsuit saying that a county policy to charge workers $20 per pay period for refusing a cholesterol and diabetes test is an invasion of his privacy. It's expected to be a national test case as more employers require workers to get health screenings. An Aon Hewitt survey of more than 1,000 employers found that 22% have programs that reward employees for meeting health goals.
