Aerostar winglets increase aircraft performance

Customers are reporting that Aerostar Aircraft Corp.'s new high technology winglets increase the aircraft's climb performance, and increase the cruising speed by a three to five knots. "Stall characteristics on the winglet equipped Aerostars are extremely forgiving. Aileron control is never lost during the stall, making it a very docile, well-behaved airplane. Also noted during flight-testing, was increased safety margins with regard to stalling speed and minimum control speed," said Jim Christy, the company's vice president.
