Analog, embedded chips help make TI more profitable

Analog and embedded semiconductors helped Texas Instruments to a profit of $362 million in the most recently ended quarter, compared with $265 million a year ago. Now accounting for more than three-quarters of TI's revenue, those two markets are helping the chipmaker through its transition away from supplying application processors and baseband processors for mobile devices.
