Banks in South Korea widen spreads on loans

Although market rates are down, the spreads on bank loans in South Korea are still high, with eight in 17 banks raising their quote spreads on household and business credit loans last month. Citibank said it raised its household loan rate due to an increase in the proportion of low-credit borrowers.
