Fla. DOT receives 7 bids for $2.1B upgrade of I-4 in Orlando

The Florida Department of Transportation has received seven proposals for the $2.1 billion upgrade of Interstate 4 through Orlando. FDOT will lower the number to three or four bidders, with the final bid to be announced by next spring. The project will consist of improvements along a 21-mile stretch of the highway. Meanwhile, FDOT will review bids for emergency work on Flagler Memorial Bridge in Palm Beach County on Wednesday.
