Gatwick eyes changes to bring in more transfer fliers

Gatwick Airport has sought a study to build a second runway at the hub, a move that could boost its transfer traffic. Currently, Heathrow is the leading U.K. airport for connecting flights. This summer, Gatwick also will begin letting passengers check in for connecting flights air side, instead of requiring them to collect bags and go through screening again.
