High-tech kitchen gadgets are growing in popularity

At-home juicers and meat thermometers that communicate with a smartphone are some of the high-tech kitchen gadgets that consumers are snapping up, analysts say. Vitamix blenders and the iGrill meat thermometer are big sellers along with single-serve coffee makers and commercial-grade food processors. The latest health craze may be driving sales, said Debra Mednick, an analyst with NPD Group. "It's not about margaritas anymore. It's about getting your antioxidants," she said.
