Industry groups, states question EPA's carbon-emissions rule

A consortium of several trade associations and 12 states are questioning the Environmental Protection Agency's proposed rule to cap carbon emissions from power plants and vehicles. "EPA's ill-founded regulations represent a sweeping expansion of its regulatory power under the Clean Air Act and would impose new requirements on potentially millions of stationary sources across the country," the American Chemistry Council said. The group is asking the Supreme Court to review the case.
