Industry isn't ready for swaps-clearing rules, experts say

Market participants said at TradeTech 2013 in London that the industry is not prepared for U.S. regulations governing central clearing of swaps. Most buy-side firms will be required starting June 10 to centrally clear swaps under the Dodd-Frank Act. However, Rien Jeuken, a policy adviser at the Dutch central bank, noted that many regulatory details have yet to be ironed out.
