Pakistan's literacy rate prompts calls for education improvements

Pakistan lags behind many of its neighbours in literacy, with 56% of its population able to read and write, according to Unesco. As the country prepares for a major election, some say the country's literacy rate could be a problem -- bolstering calls for greater investment in education and an attitude that education is important for all.
