Research offers strategies for not overeating at buffets

Using smaller plates and circling the buffet table before selecting foods are two strategies to help dieters avoid overeating during a buffet meal, Cornell University nutrition researcher Brian Wansink wrote in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine. The study analyzed data from observers who watched more than 300 people at buffet restaurants in six states.
