Survey: Constant contact can distract investors from long-term plans

A survey of 1,546 Americans by Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance to assess the state of long-term financial planning found that 24/7 connectivity hindered rather than helped them stick to long-term goals. Older people found it more difficult to navigate the fast flow of information than did younger people.
