CCI study takes sweeping look at cath lab radiation

Researchers looking at data from more than 61,000 interventional procedures identified procedure-related variables that predicted differences in radiation exposure between high- and low-dose facilities. The authors of the paper, published in Catheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions, argue the operator-controlled parameters they identified should be the focus of dose optimization efforts.
