School districts get creative to fund education technology

Some school districts -- unable to fund their technology wish lists using traditional funding streams -- are getting creative by raising money through online crowdfunding websites and other means. A Tech Search Party scavenger hunt helped three schools in California raise $15,000. Educators in other districts are using sites, such as DonorsChoose.org and PledgeCents, to raise funds.
