Sonography simulator could help accelerate training

A shortage of sonographers in the U.K. and long wait times for patients in need of imaging could be relieved by a 3D ultrasound simulation training tool. The ScanTrainer, invented by Cardiff University, is designed to train sonographers more quickly than current methods by providing the sensation of performing a real scan on a live patient.
