Stem cell debate may hit Capitol Hill

Recent advances in the use of embryonic stem cells to treat heart disease and other ailments have brought restrictions surrounding the issue back to light. The current policy only allows government-funded scientists to use older stem cells, but stem cells from embryos have been shown to be able to grow into all types of tissue as well as regenerate organs.
