Denver voters to decide on $4.7 billion transit expansion

The board of directors of the Regional Transportation District unanimously approved a $4.7 billion transit expansion proposal, paving the way for Denver-area voters to vote on the measure as early as this fall. The plan, which includes five new rail lines, including one linking the city with Denver International Airport, would be completed by 2015 and would be funded by a sales tax increase.
