U.S. wholesale prices increase; jobless claims drop slightly

Higher prices for food products drove up overall wholesale prices by 0.5% in March, beating economists' expectations by 0.2%, but core prices only rose 0.2%. Jobless claims dropped by a seasonally adjusted 9,000 but remain at a higher level than analysts projected.
