Game teaches math, business skills

Wisconsin eighth-graders assessed potential employee productivity, calculated operating costs and estimated prices to set up a storefront as part of a PDA game called Hip Hop Tycoon. Designed by the University of Wisconsin-Madison to teach math and financial skills while engaging kids, the program was piloted in three schools and may soon be available to others.
