Judge halts hearing in asbestos fraud case

A federal judge Friday postponed a hearing in which an asbestos litigation attorney was prepared to plead guilty to fraud involving thousands of clients. U.S. District Judge Alan Gold said he was concerned about how restitution would be made to the victims. The government has just $1.3 million in the attorney's frozen bank accounts to pay out.
