Architectural billings fall to record low amid slow economy

With developers scaling back on commercial projects, the Architectural Billings Index dropped to a record low in March, according to the American Institute of Architects. The index fell from 41.8 in February to 39.7 in March, the lowest level since the index started in 1995, and officials say the drop is a sign of the overall struggles in various sectors of the economy.
