BT offers U.K. businesses Wi-Fi "hot spot" option

More U.K. businesses may soon offer Wi-Fi services to customers under a new BT service that lets subscribers to its commercial Total Broadband plan provide or sell to customers access to their Wi-Fi network. BT, which created a distinct secure channel in its Wi-Fi routers for its service, said only 7% of small businesses offered wireless Internet access.
