AT&T supports disclosure of data-collection practices

AT&T is expected to back some form of regulation to give Internet users notice of what sort of data are being collected about them for the purposes of ad targeting, as well as the ability to opt out of such data collection. Most leading players in the online ad industry as well as the Interactive Advertising Bureau believe industry self-regulation is sufficient to the task of protecting user privacy.
