TALF slow to get credit to consumers

By some measures, the Term Asset-Backed Securities Loan Facility has not met expectations because it has struggled to get money to consumers for student loans, auto loans and other types of loans. However, consumer lending has improved recently, and some government officials and private analysts attribute the situation to the mere existence of TALF.
