Merger talks between United Airlines and Continental Airlines are far enough along that issues such as headquarters and leadership have already been settled, the Chicago Tribune reports. Sources tell the paper that the world's new largest airline would be based in Chicago, Continental CEO Jeff Smisek would have the same title at the merged airline and United CEO Glenn Tilton would likely be named non-executive chairman.
