Feds reject aid request after tornado, Okla. governor's office says

The federal government has denied a disaster-assistance request by Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin for victims of a tornado on April 15, the governor's office said. The state will seek a disaster declaration from the Small Business Administration to enable homeowners and businesses to get disaster loans. More than 220 homes and businesses were affected by the tornado, according to initial assessments.
