Nursing students help patients develop diabetes management plans

University of Nebraska Medical Center nursing students get real-world experience helping patients with diabetes develop approaches to managing their disease. The federally funded self-management project has been expanded to additional nursing classes, including one that covers disease prevention and health promotion.
