Professors-turned-entrepreneurs creating battery to store wind power

The idea that would eventually turn into Liquid Metal Battery started with two professors at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The company, which launched in 2010, is working to create a battery that can be used to store energy generated by wind power. The company has brought in millions in investment from contributors, including Bill Gates.
