U.S. military leaders outline possibilities for Syria

U.S. military leaders endorse the continuation of diplomatic efforts to bring an end to the conflict in Syria but said the U.S. military is ready for operations if necessary. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta and chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Martin Dempsey outlined to Congress a series of measures that could put pressure on Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to halt violence in the country.
