Nearly 40% of consumers said they would pay an additional 5% or more for beef labeled "premium" at restaurants and grocery stores, according to Technomic. The term proved more popular to consumers than the "organic" and "grass fed" labels that chains including Elevation Burger and Cheeburger Cheeburger use to promote their premium burgers.
