AT&T experienced strong tablet demand in Q1

AT&T's first-quarter wireless revenues grew by 3.4% compared with a year ago as the carrier added 296,000 contract customers and 365,000 postpaid tablets to its network. The company said its contract customer additions were aided by tablet sales. The carrier sold a record 6 million smartphones and saw mobile-data revenues grow by 21% on rising wireless profit margins.
