Texas road contractors see more crashes at job sites

Nearly half of Texas road contractors had vehicles smash into their job sites last year -- well above the national average, according to the Associated General Contractors of America. In some cases, this halts work and can even shut down the site. "Any time your job site is just a few feet away from fast moving traffic, danger is never far away," said Tom Brown, president of Sierra Pacific West and chair of AGC’s highway work zone safety committee.
