Kansas students highlight Medal of Honor war heroes in video

Juniors at Hoisington High School in Kansas researched and highlighted the sacrifices of several Medal of Honor recipients as part of a cross-curricular and interactive study that combined history, English, speech, character education, technology and collaboration. The students, many of whom visited the Hall of Heroes in Washington, D.C., during spring break, used their research to create a short video about the honorees with an application and uploaded the video via an iPad. The project has bolstered students' understanding of and connection to the bravery of members of the military, said English teacher Carrie Feist.
