Kiosks can help improve practice management, consultant says

Physician practices may be able to increase revenue and patient satisfaction by putting a self-serve kiosk in the waiting room, writes Rosemarie Nelson of the MGMA Health Care Consulting Group. A kiosk can help streamline patient check-ins, payments and information updates, and some can even do real-time insurance eligibility verification, according to Nelson.
