Study: Mobile tech-training program for teachers may boost STEM education

Targeted training for teachers in mobile technology could improve student achievement and interest in science, technology, engineering and math, according to a recent study of a partnership between the International Society for Technology Education and the Verizon Innovative Learning Schools program, which provides professional development to schools nationwide. David Curry, principal of a Maryland middle school, said: "The teachers learn just as much from students as students learn from teachers, and we're making sure students understand that we value their opinions and their learning."
