Survey: Education Remains Top Priority For Voters

Early-childhood education, class-size reduction programs and teacher training remain high in voters' priority lists, according to an opinion poll conducted by the Public Education Network and Education Week. About 53% of the 800 poll participants say they want their representatives to protect schools from budget cuts. Policy analysts say political candidates may have a tough time shielding education from budget cuts.
