Violence, security issues slow projects, but work goes on in Iraq

Although some international contractors have suspended operations in Iraq due to the recent insurgency, Bechtel says it plans to continue work on its projects, albeit at a slower pace in some areas. And while problems are slowing the work pace, the U.S. Agency for International Development still has about 41 infrastructure projects under way and about 90% are progressing as expected, the organization says.
