Cost climbs for Lockheed's Joint Strike Fighter

The cost of Lockheed Martin's Joint Strike Fighter is increasing. The Department of Defense estimates it will cost $276.5 billion to develop the plane and for the U.S. and British militaries to purchase it. That estimate is $75 billion higher than when the program first launched.
