Digital shops pitching themselves like it's 1999

With demand for new workers in digital media exceeding supply, major media and creative companies made employment pitches to hundreds of college students and recent graduates at an April 21 event in New York. Organized by 212, New York's interactive advertising club, the event brought to mind the heady days before the dot-com bust, but one recruiter said companies today are being more judicious in their hiring than they were in 1999.
