Gross is good in new ad campaigns

Brands including Mucinex, Pepto-Bismol and Lamisil have tossed discretion to the marketing winds with a series of gross-out ads that are much more graphic in depicting the maladies their products treat. These new-school direct pitches include Mucinex's slimy Mr. Mucus character, Pepto's heartburn-and-diarrhea jingle and dance, and Lamisil's nail fungi organism, Digger the Dermatophyte.
