Marriage still on Spitzer's agenda

Although New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer (D) has not included equal marriage rights in recent speeches, he plans to fulfill a campaign pledge in the next few weeks and introduce a bill to allow same-sex couples to marry, according to a spokeswoman. But the governor acknowledged the measure is unlikely to be approved in the current session, which expires June 21.
