Research: Educators must engage "wired" teens

Teens capable of producing YouTube videos, publishing anime or podcasting are likely to be underwhelmed by school, researchers say. "Kids associate one word with school: 'boring,'" Deborah Stipek, a Stanford professor and dean of education, said, adding, "The question becomes what is the role of school in this larger environment."
